Bettina is a second generation Filipino-American. She has spent most of her childhood growing up in the greater New York City area and the “Jersey Shore” suburbs of Monmouth County, New Jersey. After completing her undergraduate studies in New York City, she proceeded to finish her graduate studies and training in Baltimore, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After completing her clinical fellowship, she returned back to her hometown in New Jersey where she built the foundations of her career and developed, led, and supervised in multiple hospital speech pathology departments in one of the Tri-state area's largest hospital systems. 

Being a childhood and birth trauma survivor, pregnancy loss survivor, mother of an autistic child, and a late diagnosed neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD) person, has allowed Bettina to be vulnerable and use her personal lived-experiences to authentically connect to her clients and families. When you choose to work with Bettina, you enter a relationship that does not end once the therapy session is completed for that day. Bettina hopes to become someone you can feel free and open to discuss your concerns, hopes, and fears you may have for you, your child, and family. She believes in a holistic approach to speech therapy and lactation where we look at more than just the issue at hand. This type of process of treatment allows us to be kind and compassionate to ourselves, while learning to become more intuitive, intrinsically motivated, and helps us to get to where we need to go together. 

Bettina is a strong believer and practitioner of child-led and play based speech-language therapy with neurodiversity-affirming practices. With all her clients, she provides individualized, strength based, non-judgemental treatment. This is her hope with her journey of private practice work—to follow her passions and connect with those clients and families who feel the same way--to create a safe community.

Bettina is the matriarch to a neurodiverse family— a wife and mother of two beautiful little boys (2 and 5 years old). She enjoys creating, home DIY-ing, cooking, baking, singing, dancing, spiritual energetic practices, meditation and mindfulness work, working out, and spending time with her family.
